BogdankaPoznanović
Biography
Bogdanka Poznanović (born 1930 in Begeč, Yugoslavia) is a Serbian artist known for her significant contributions to the Yugoslavian art scene. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1956, where she studied under Professor Milo Milunović. Poznanović was an influential figure in promoting new artistic movements, particularly during her time as the editor of the 'Art Salon' at the Youth Tribune in Novi Sad. She helped bring together numerous artists and fostered a dynamic cultural environment. In the 1970s, Poznanović became a pioneer in the mail art movement in Yugoslavia. She initiated the "Feedback Letter-Box" project, which encouraged international collaboration and connected artists from around the world, including notable figures like Joseph Beuys and Klaus Groh. While her work shares the experimental, interdisciplinary spirit of Fluxus, there is no direct evidence of her formal involvement with the movement. However, her contributions to mail art and her collaborations with Fluxus-affiliated artists reflect a shared ethos of artistic exploration and innovation.
