Biography
Sarenco (Vobarno, IT, 1945 – Salò, IT, 2017) Sarenco (aka Isaia Mabellini) was a visual poet, performer, and film director. From 1963, his practice is focused on Visual Poetry, by creating groups such as “Amodulo” and then “Logomotives”, organizing exhibitions such as “La poesia degli anni ’70″, and founding magazines as “Lotta Poetica” (1971) “Poesia Visiva”. He was also an active mail artist. In 1984, he directs his first short film entitled “Collage”. In the 1990s he opens an art gallery in Malindi, Kenya, where he exhibits young African art.
